Why lupin flour?

If you’ve ever tried to make your own healthy pizza crust, you know the struggles: wringing water out of a cauliflower, dealing with crumbly almond flour…no, thank you!

We knew there had to be a better way. That’s why, with the assistance of Manitoba Agriculture’s Food Development Centre, we set out to develop an easy-to-make pizza crust mix from lupin flour, known for its many health benefits. Found primarily in the Mediterranean and Western Australia, the lupin bean is high in fibre and protein, as well as low in carbs and on the glycemic index.
